While we consistently practice friendship in the habits that we organize and host through the Institute, we also regularly practice friendship by entering into and working within the mission of other organizations. We collaborate with others through this habit of friendship (in the more formal, institutional way) by giving talks, offering opening prayers, leading retreats, and officiating weddings.
Friendship is, therefore, the foundational “habit” of the Faber Institute. Friendship done after the pattern of Christ is the way to the “place” where God dwells in the world. God “appears” clearest to us inside friendships of this type.
