POSTPONED: A Marriage Retreat
February 12 @ 9:00 am - 3:30 pmFree
DUE TO COVID AND NOT BEING ABLE TO MEET IN PERSON, WE HAVE DECIDED TO POSTPONE THE MARRIAGE RETREAT FOR A TIME WHEN RESTRICTIONS ARE LIFTED AND WE CAN, IN FACT, MEET IN PERSON!
The Marriage Retreat is first and foremost a “retreat”; that is, it is a time that each of you set aside for God, letting God have access to you in a more than typical degree. A Retreat works to help a person (a “retreatant”) become more available to God, letting God “have” him or her with greater trust. However, God never gives a grace to a married person that is not also given as a grace for the strengthening and helping of his or her marriage; that is why this Retreat is done with your spouse. The Marriage Retreat offers a way of journeying deeper into what God is doing in each of you as individuals, as well as the means to explore together how He is at work within “The Third Thing”, your marriage itself. This Retreat, uniting profound spiritual insight with gritty, practical wisdom, welcomes couples of any years of experience in married life (or those considering marriage), from the newly wed, to those whose married relationship now includes a spouse living with our Ancestors in Heaven.
All three of us at the Faber Institute will be at work on this Retreat: Mary Edmonds as Host; Rick Ganz and Tara Ludwig as Speakers and Directors. This gathering will take place in your homes (online via Zoom). There will be generous breaks and time away from your computer throughout the day.
