Dan Mallea joined the Faber Institute Board in September 2021. He grew up in Caldwell, Idaho, and received his BBA in Accounting from Gonzaga University in 1973. Following graduation, Dan moved to Tacoma and worked in public accounting. He joined Pierce County Medical (a predecessor company of Regence/Cambia Health Services) in 1977 and retired from Cambia in 2014. His career with Cambia included positions in Finance and Senior Management, and a move from Tacoma to Portland in 1996. He holds a CPA license (retired) in Oregon.
While in Tacoma, Dan met his wonderful wife, Kathleen, and they married in 1977. They have three grown and married children, and four grandchildren. Dan and Kathleen are members of St. Juan Diego Parish.
Dan has been involved in a number of civic and nonprofit organizations over the years, including Rotary, Boy Scouts, Catholic parishes and Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon Ministries Corporation. Dan enjoys playing golf, travel, cheering for the Zags and being with family and friends.
